Nightsolo's Fallout New Vegas Companions

Notes:

Be careful giving burst-capable weapons to your party members. They love to use burst-mode, thus wasing ammo and very often hitting you, other party members, and innocent bystanders.
With JIP Companions Command and Control installed, you can have all of the game's Companions at once. This is great for getting all of their personal quests done, but it can get quite crowded in confined spaces.

Arcade Israel Ganon

How to Get: Old Mormon Fort: in the building just left of the entrance from Freeside North.
Quest: You'll need to visit several places in the Mojave, being sure that he enters into dialog mode when he does. His quest will trigger well into the endgame.

Craig Boone

How to Get:In Novac, talk to him either in his Motel room or in the sniper's nest at the top of the dinosaur. Complete the quest he gives you, "One for My Baby," and ask him to join.
Quest: You'll need to have him with you while killing the Legion. Be sure to talk to him occasionally and choose the new dialog options.

ED-E

How to Get: Primm: Clear out the Powder Gangers and rescue the Deputy from Bison Steve, then Meet Mr Nash in the Mojave Express office. Ask him about the robot, then Repair it.
Quest: "ED-E My Love" starts as soon as you recruit it. You will have to trigger two audio logs. Both have many possible triggers, but you'll have to wait 5 in-game days before the second one triggers. After the second log, wait 48 hours for a pair of radio transmissions, and then you'll have to choose which upgrade you want.

Lily Bowen

How to Get: Jacobstown: Go inside the lodge and speak to the doctors to the right for the quest "Guess Who I Saw Today." Outside, talk to the supermutant in the yellow straw hat and ask her to join you.
Quest: This is unmarked. You're supposed to listen for three events, but it's hard to hear them, so just speak with her often and choose the new dialog options. The last one will deal with whether or not she should keep taking her medication.

Raul Alfonso Tejada

How to Get: Black Mountain: After dealing with Tabitha, unlock the small storage shed and talk to him.
Quest: This is unmarked. You'll need to have him in your party when you speak with several older folks around the Mojave. Eventually, he'll need to be pushed to either hang up his guns or continue as he is.

Rex

How to Get: The Kings: In Freeside, after "GI Blues," The King will ask you to help his robot dog.
Quests: "Nothin' But a Hound Dog" starts as soon as you get him, and is fairly straight forward. With the Wild Wasteland Perk, an unmarked quest, "Jimmy's Well" will appear after you talk to him.

Rose of Sharon Cassidy

How to Get: Meet her at Mojave Outpost in order to start "Heartache by the Number." This will be on hold until you complete a job at Crimson Caravan.
The second job will have you convincing Cass to sell her company. Quest: Once she's free of her company, she'll want to pay respects, which continues "Heartache by the Number."

How to Get: 188 Trading Post: Just talk to her.
Quest: She'll need to be with you for 3 out of a possible 9 conversations. Once that happens, take her to speak to the Elder in the Hidden Valley bunker.
